Architect Fair 2008

Just got a chance to update about recent event, Architect Unplugged 08.
Comparing to last year, most of the decos and housing products/offers are pretty much the same with small amount of new innovation. The bathroom luxury section still catched most of our attention, especially with all those exotic built-in floor jacuzzi. Not to mention the 45degree angle shower room with jacuzzi, radio, music/mp3 player, telephone, dvd-player build it- I'm sure none of us will spend more time in the bathroom.
Exotic decos like metal plating and hand-made wallpaper were still here this year but unfortunately compact wooden complete-built-in house was no longer present. Pretty presentors were still a catch in any events, along with some cute furry mascots to add lighter touch to the booth identity as a whole. All in all, a good architect fair but not as stunning as last year.

DARKSIDE 101

Testing out the new field in town- Darkside 101 at Rard-Prao soi 101

I will have to say that this field is the next gathering of Thailand leading BB pros to the current popular field Raab 11. When I arrived, I was greeted with more than 10 field staff and were shocked at the number of pros there were at the waiting/safety zone. There were Thailand leading BB team, D.S.T and one of the richest team, TITANS present at the field. I took my time greeting each team since I personally know the players and they are very nice people.

The AGF and my lust-4-dust teammates (me on the right)

The next thing I notice was that the field is tiny compare to Tubchang small-size field. There are lots of bunkers randomly placed on the battlefield like Sukumvit 62 Combat Zone and thus making the field a duel ground rather than tactical-base play, which I was kinda dissapointed since dueling heavily depends on the budget of your gun, period.
Sorting out the players

Rush

I met up with my friends and teammates we geared up for the battle. There were intermission when casual players have to wait for 10vs10 duel between TITANS versus D.S.T. It was a rain of bullets flying about on the field as each players' Systema were modified to the best (we are talking about guns that cost more than 50,000Baht here guys).

D.S.T. won the first round with such great coordination of each player. They shouted and echoed each other commands and indication of enemy position through military codes which I have no clue to their meaning- Delta 2, Alpha 1, Red 5, line up (almost like you watching American Football). I guess they were coordinates to enemy position and commands like need back-up and such.

Planning thier tactics

TITANS have a big planning aftermath to work out a solution to beat those codes-shout. They decided to use rush-tactic as they swap side of the field. The plan worked, TITANS starting side has lots of advantage if they manage to rush and take control of field's centre and won that round. It was a 1-1 tie. Fun day.

It's in the game 2.

After brief review on the hottest first-person-shooting game of 2008, Call of Duty 4, I looked back to those olden days when the world cried out in one voice the most popular FPS multi-player game on the planet was no one else but Counter-Strike. If you have not heard about it, how was your cave drawing?

Apparently, the world thinks carrying knife while running gives faster sprint.

Going back in time, Counter-Strike was just a modification expansion to the core game, Half-Life. Its user-friendly and effective game interface offered players from different ages all over the world the coolest and easiest FPS game there was in the entire world. With open-code programing of the core game, CS players can adjust their own game, maps, settings, gravity, etc etc in anyway they want. Sweet, huh?

Once the game hit international top multi-playing game on the planet. World Cyber Game (the largest international PC game competition, almost like the Olympic of games) leaped into a big talk-of-the-town. Thailand started qualifying for Thailand championship which will be Thailand representative for WCG. I was in one of the local qualifying team but failed to attend the national qualifying because I was stuck with my studies in high school. Most of my teammates were university students or either working back then. Although we didn't get very far, it was a life experience when you are in a tournament that involved hundreds of teams which had already qualified from thousands of teams/clans. Nevertheless, my other group of friends won CS Thailand championship, so we still get to celebrated.

Improved game graphic

From then, Counter-Strike was developed further. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero was released with better graphics and many modification done to balance out the game-play and gravity. It was not very successful leap as players prefer the old classic CS. Few years later, Counter-strike: Source was released with a huge leap in development, game engine, game graphics and game-play. The engine features modern gravity-environment calculation which gives every objects (including humans) the correct gravity correspondence with the game environment correctly. Round objects would roll down slope, bodies lay accordingly to the floor, etc. It was renown a software innovation, the US Army bought the engine for their own military use.
Apparently, we will be revisiting the good old days again next week as the Design Interface class will embark on a mission to find out how Terrorist will prevail...oops, I mean how good game interface is designed. Hopefully, I will be able to save screenshot of the "case study". 'Nuff said. Peace out.

Missed those good old days, "Set"

It's in the game.

If you are planning to miss out Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, think again!

The 2008 hottest first-person-shooting game so far, CoD4: Modern Warfare, proves to be one of the best shooting game I have ever played. With intense action, exciting/realistic plot, revolutionary angle views and shots which gave you the Hollywood films feel and the amazing graphics, the next FPS game to be realeased on the market has got a huge shoe to fill.

I won't go into details about the game because there are simply too many! I'm sure those of you who has played the game will agreed that one of the coolest mission was Act 2: Ghillied up. Rather than any other rambo-shoot-em-all kinda mission (as expected of FPS games), we play a as sniper on an infiltrating/assasinating mission instead. What really distinguish this game from others was the realistic gun models and character costumes. If you are looking for modern/today military clothing references, just play the game. Aight, 'nuff said.

Survived HK Typhoon

Unfortunate turn of event as the morning I was leaving for Hong Kong, I opened up a weather report on HK weather and it said a Typhoon is hitting the China coast and it will cause tremendous rain and wind in HK. What else could I possibly do, we already booked everything and the taxi is arriving in 30minutes. Oh well, what the heck right?

My purpose of this trip was shopping (to be precise, airsoft shopping). What really set back the whole trip was of course the heavy whole-day-non-stop rain itself which stopped me from touring around HK shopping paradise. Still, I managed to reach Guns market and found meself a small Disneyland. At night, I hook up with friends in Hong Kong and we chilled out at local pubs. Apparently, the owner was very fond of Thai people and gave us complimentary services (and his distorted Thai dialects).

I stand firm on the fact that Hong Kong is BB heaven on earth. The shops are all lined up next to each other in one small area, selling all type of hobbies-related products and military clothing. One of the shop owner was very cool. He speaks Thai very fluently and gave lots of special discounts to Thais.

I will edit this further as I can't be bothered to continue right now. Got this damn cold/fever from running in the rain (umbrella didn't help much since its a storm we are talking about, the wind blew the umbrella away). Ciao for now.

JJ Children Science Museum

As part of the Design Interface class, we were required to visit JJ Children Science Museum and hence revived our childrenhood back to 15 years ago. Hey! Where's pinocchio!?

Down to business, we started taking photos of the science inventions and discoveries that had changed men's lives. What is rather interesting about all these reproductions is that the replicas were designed for kids and have easy-to-use interface. Interactions made from these science invention replicas quickly explain the science theories or facts behind them.

Pipes here help to illustrate how sound can travel through loop of physical forms and thus explain how telephone works. Apparently, you can try swearing at your friends at the other end.

This bubble-wrapping machine right here looks like a time-machine to me. Imagine you got one of this machine in your playboy mansion, girls gonna luv it! Wrap-em and pack-em!

Most of the displays are button-pushing and light-up so I decided not to take any pictures of them. There was some interesting display like the fake-tree-drawer that u can pull chunk out of the big tree and see the termites nest in it. Also, bunch of Disney displays are cute for a low-budget museum. I spent the rest of my camera batteries on me and bunch of friends posting stupid scene. Lots of kids were scared...

Female family role is dominating in Japan

"Bell, pass me that cook book!"

The front seats seem to be the only part of the car to be driving at 160km/hr.

There are more silly pics which I won't be uploading. I think you get the drift. Peace out,

M4 Interfece

M4 is simply the shorter version of M16 which was developed by Colt company since 1970s. These carbines are intended for military and law enforcement use only but it seem civilians are able to get hand on as well. In 1997, the US military has adopted use of M4a1 or M4 carbine instead of M16 which was used during Vietnam War.

Caliber: 5.56mm NATO
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Overall length: 838 mm (stock extended); 757 mm (stock fully collapsed)
Barrel length: 370 mm
Weight: 2.52 kg without magazine; 3.0 kg with magazine loaded with 30 rounds
Rate of fire: 700 - 950 rounds per minute
Maximum effective range: 360 m

With its greater flexibility and effectiveness, the M4 carbines quickly replaced M16 and were widely developed further in many special military organization. Especially, the Special Operation Command (SOCOM) was very interested in standardizing its basic weapon as M4.

Soon enough, M4 RIS (Rail Interface System) was introduced and gave a whole wider options for accessories and upgrades to M4 such as ACOG Reflex red-dot sight, EOTECH Halo system, NVG telescopic, magnifier scope, etc. Making it the universal weapon or as Thais would call it "ปืนพระเอก". Without a doubt, M4 is one of the best interface designed guns out there. I will update piture of my own custom airsoft M4. Check it out soon!

PMC wanna-be

Greetings,

5 years of airsoft experience and our airsoft team is becoming real more and more. With the slogan "lust for dust" is approved, the squad name is still yet to conclude. The logo will probably be a detailed pictogram of M1 Abraham tank that were used in Operation Desert Storm.

Brothers in arm- M4 Special Operation & M4 Long RIS

Me and Benz

Most of the teammates are close friends from ABAC and other universities in Bangkok. We tend to join together every possible weekends for some fun experience and touring around various battle fields that Bangkok has to offer (so far, about 5 fields). It is without a doubt that teamwork is developed in this sport and you cannot go one-superman-show on the field. You will be shot!!
A lot of our teammates are fan of M4. I will try to update our custom AEGs M4 asap. Stick around to check em out. They are true beuties. :-P Over and out,

habbo-to-be

Apparently habbo-ing becomes part of a class assignment. Soon, we will be shooting AK and M4 Carbine in Counter-strike to experience-learning design interfece. Due to my PC got stuck with the shockwave installing technical difficulties, I could not join the woolah-habbo dance performed by Ball and panasit.

However, that doesn't mean that my habbo is stuck at home cuz he is already out cruising Las Vegas finest hotels! Yeah, baby!!

Stack up em' greenies.

Passion...

Got some spare time to reflect on old work.

Most of them tend to be influenced by environmental and world issue such as global warming hence, my passion ;)

My first digital painting illustration for Greenpeace, global warming ads campaign.
The next piece is done for Design Interface class assignment- interface toy. Base on design interface, we were asked to come up with a strong concept and apply them on modification of simple/plain or old toy that we can find. I came up with the concept of freedom from war- base on the victims and innocents suffered from war and violence. Finding around my room, I digged up an old wool manakin and voodoo doll-like keychain. Painted its body black, eyes' white, tied metel wire around its arms and legs, bounded the actual keychain ring to the foot so its look like ball chain, printed out a card with graphics on both side and finally put it in a painted box with labeled "Live Free".
